Erika Stekar farm is located on one of the hills to the South of the village of San Florian del Collio and It includes a rural accommodation.
At the beginning, on the ground floor that today is used for the accommodation, there was a stable for pigs and cows and on the first floor, there was a barn. In 2004, the Stekars began the property renovation, which was completed in November 2006 with the inauguration ceremony of the “Agriturismo Stekar”.
It has remained intact only the stone-wall of the ground floor, which is characterized by “trumbe” that was the way we did get off the hay for the cows directly in the manger. Today, we can find the reception and the reading corner in this particular place. In front of the reception, there is the breakfast room. Breakfast is made exclusively of organic products. In warm seasons are also available organic fresh fruits produced by our farm.
In front of the Hotel, there is a parking area, which is available to guests. At the bottom of the courtyard, there is the large garden. From here, you can enjoy the panorama, which presents a wonderful view. From the farm vineyards to the Bassa Friulana, getting until the sea and until the Slovenian hills.
Here, you can have a picnic using tables and benches or you can sunbathe on the comfortable deckchairs. On New Year’s Eve, you can admire the fireworks.
To observe closely the local flora and fauna, We recommend walking through the vineyards and woods owned by the company or on nearby Mount Calvary. Otherwise, you can do laps with bicycles that are available free, among the many marked paths, starting from the private small road at the bottom of the vineyards.
